A Conservative For Obama
A reader writes:
It seems to me that after reading "Dreams of My Father" and getting to
know the man, you trust his ability to lead. I could be wrong, but
after reading your blog over the last few months, you seem to trust
Obama ... and really, could there be a better reason to vote for a
candidate?
I'm about halfway through that book now, and I find myself
shaking my head at the thought that this man, who wrote these words,
might be our next President. It gives me chills. It makes me smile.
It gives me hope. He might be labeled a liberal due to some of his
policy, but practically speaking, his character comes across
as conservative (which this "liberal" can relate to).
For me, it's about a man and this moment. It's no longer about ideology.
