Face Of The Day
Army medics and US soldiers from the 2nd Battalion, 30th Infantry
Regiment of the 10th Mountain Division carry a wounded Iraqi man after
they arrive at their base combat hospital to give him medical treatment
on May 16, 2008 in Baghdad, Iraq. A joint patrol with Iraqi National
Police encountered a group of three men digging in an area of frequent
insurgent mortar activity, when the wounded man started to run and was
shot in the leg. He was immediately treated by the US medic traveling
with the platoon and is expected to recover. The other two men were
