Better Than Expected

Dean Barnett is encouraged by the size of Obama's post-primary bump:

If eight points is Obama’s baseline lead, that’s a manageable figure. Truth be told, I figured Obama’s baseline lead would have been well into double digits, and the Republican nominee would have to begin chucking Hail Marys early and often. It’s the Republican party’s great good fortune that it has the nominee least associated with the party’s tattered brand and with the best shot at winning.

We won't know the real size of the bump for a while. Give it a week or two.
