Hi, I am Rob. I have been a long-time reader of The Daily Dish, and your recent piece, Why I Blog, inspired me to finally reach out and send you an email. I have been blogging since I was 17 years old (I'm now 21), back when I was pretty ignorant of the world and when blogging didn't exactly make me many friends at high school. I have always struggled to find my place in the blogosphere; always wondered if I could ever amount to to the what my favorite bloggers have accomplished. Your Atlantic essay reminded me that there is still room in the blogosphere for the little guy like me, the full-time student, with a lot to say and a priceless outlet to say it; that blogging isn't just about fame and glory, but about interacting with the people who like to hear what you have to say (and, of course, those who don't).
