The Germans have figured out how to connect their Wii board to Google Earth - and surf the Alps! Seriously wondrous. It's hard not to feel enormous gloom in the face of the current economy, and intractable conflicts in Iraq, Iran, Pakistan, Israel, Palestine and Afghanistan. And yet when you see what technology is doing these days, how can one stay too pessimistic?
