A reader writes:
Out of curiosity, I have been checking out coverage of the Iranian election from international sources, including PressTV, the English language broadcast run by the Iranian government.
What I find to be curious is that PressTV actually reported that Ahmadinejad received fewer votes in Tehran than Mousavi, but won the election based on the results outside of Tehran. This flatly contradicts what they reported to their own people, which indicated an Ahmadinejad victory in Tehran, with over 50% of the vote, despite multiple candidates.
In other words, I suspect that Iran's government may be trying to take a fraudulent, implausibly rosy propaganda victory crafted for the Iranian public, changing it into something that the rest of the world might possibly view as being something like reality.
