The Cheney Example

It appears that waterboarding - a torture technique popularized by George W. Bush and Dick Cheney - has been picked up overseas. In Britain, no less, by mere cops pursuing drug crimes. But what one notices most is how the London Times, unlike the New York Times, is able to call this what it is:

The torture claims are part of a wide-ranging investigation which also includes accusations that officers fabricated evidence and stole suspects’ property.

And no-one, least of all the head of state, is proud of it.
