A breakthrough in Britain in the Binyam Mohammed case - and a blow against the Obama administration's attempts to stop investigation of torture claims by invoking state secrets, and threatening to withhold intelligence-sharing from Britain if the courts published classified documents detailing the treatment of detainees. The British have confirmed that the treatment of Mohamed by the US
could readily be contended to be at the very least cruel, inhuman and degrading treatment.
Ambers has the goods. The UK court has concluded that the treatment violated international law.
