An astoundingly eloquent demonstration of the yawning gap between the GOP's rhetoric and, you know, reality. An anti-Obamacare GOP freshman is outraged that he might have to go on COBRA before his congressional healthcare plan goes into effect. Then this beaut:
“Harris then asked if he could purchase insurance from the government to cover the gap,” added the aide, who was struck by the similarity to Harris’s request and the public option he denounced as a gateway to socialized medicine.
There are 50 million people who have no access to insurance right now at all. And Harris and the GOP campaigned this fall to keep it that way for ever. They have no credible plan to help the uninsured at all.
